Senior Accounts Payable/Officer - Temporary

£170.00 per day PAYE

cer Financial are working alongside a financial services business based in the City of London, they are looking for a Senior Accounts Assistant/AP to join them on temporary basis. This is a short term contract role to support Year End and is likely to last at least 3 months. The business operate a hybrid model working in the office 3 days per week, with 2 days from home. This will be looking for candidates who are immediately available who can interview/start within the next week or so.

The Responsibilities of a Senior Accounts Assistant/AP Will Include:
  • Processing purchase invoices & expense claims and management of purchase ledger function (NetSuite / Kofax) including query management
  • Regularly request supplier statements to ensure an up-to-date information flow of invoices to finance
  • Bank payments / payment runs, reconciliations and liquidity reporting
  • Processing of monthly credit card statements
  • Finance Inbox management (Outlook)
  • Assistance with annual audit (group & statutory external audits and internal audit)
  • Ongoing updating of related process descriptions
  • Raising recharge invoices
  • Assistance in identifying ongoing process improvements
  • Assistance with periodic VAT reporting
  • Assist with other Ad Hoc duties within the finance department as and when required
  • Three days per week in the London office and two days WFH

The successfulSenior Accounts Assistant AP Will Have:
  • Prior Accounts Payable experience, ideally in an international environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment without compromising on quality
  • Ability to prioritise duties accordingly
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships within the Finance Team and across the Group (we are after a proper Team-Player)
  • Good time management - accustomed to meeting tight deadlines
  • Reasonable understanding of international VAT
  • Knowledge of Excel & Outlook
  • Good knowledge of banking systems and payments
