We are looking for progressive Management Accountant to join this global manufacturer based near Cramlington. The management accountant position serves as the finance business partner for the local management team. The role includes the timely and accurate closing cycle including reporting to the local management team. This role will work with the management team to ensure adequate internal controls are followed to safeguard the assets of the business. As well as ensuring the accuracy of the companies reported financial results and that they are compliant with general accepted accounting principles and statutory requirements. The role will also drive a culture of continually improving both operating performance and financial processes, while building and maintaining strong relationships with the management team as well as with the European finance organisation. This position is exposed to confidential financial statements, product costs and the strategic initiatives of the Company.

Key
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for completion of accurate daily, weekly and monthly reporting
- Responsible for accurate and timely month end and year end closing. Including Balance Sheet reconciliation to ensure accurate, timely and complete financial figures.
- Analysing and reporting to local management and European finance team.
- Provide financial analyses as needed, such as sales & margin analysis, working capital etc
- Identify process gaps, savings, proposed and implement solutions
- Running asset management system
- Jointly responsible for preparation of budget
Knowledge/experience:
- Qual, Part Qual or QBE considered
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles, including International Financial Reporting Standards and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles as applicable
- Good working experience with ERP systems, SAP experience is a preference
