The role will focus on on projects and capital expenditure and duties will includeWorking as a business partner to project teams Owning the capex and budgeting processes including monthly and quarterly forecasting and planning Reviewing key drivers for projects and capex budgets such as project plans, staffing and direct costsMonitoring planned vs actuals Working closely with Project Managers, providing advice and guidance Putting together costing and pricing information Month end duties Monthly reporting This role will suit a part or fully qualified accountant who enjoys forming relationships with people outside of finance. The ability to challenge and investigate is essential to the success of this role and while schedules are in place, challenging deadline and projects do arise and therefore the person must be agile in their thinking and responsiveness. Strong Excel skills are essential and experience of NetSuite would be a distinct advantage. Whilst a background in the energy or utility sectors would preferred, this is not set in stone.
