ACIT are a well established Sage and IT Specialists based in Battlesbridge, Wickford. Due to continued growth we are looking to employ an enthusiastice and talented individual to manage the accounting function within our business.
Main Duties: Maintain all Company financial records using Sage 50 Accounts Professional (or Sage 200)
Reconcile bank, company credit card and intercompany loan accounts daily. Monitor supplier invoice due dates and make payments on time. Maintain monthly gross profit analysis, including month end reconciliation of nominal GP
tostock GP, including staff member for payroll and management reporting. Production of monthly management accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations of all
assets and liabilities. Preparation of forecasts, budgets and cashflows based on business scenarios. To purchase all required products and services sold to clients. Maintain accurate stock control of all goods received and sold, including costs and dates
received/despatched. Post supplier invoices against completed purchase orders/goods received notes. Monitor and process order confirmations and invoices for all IT care hour renewals, including
adding their hours to stock. Review outstanding Sales Orders and liaise with appropriate staff regarding goods and services
delivered to maintain excellent customer experience. Chase for progress updates on all work scheduled to have been completed. Process the monthly payroll for staff wages including calculation of commissions and bonuses,
HMRC/pension submissions and making payments. To process delivered sales orders, invoice customers and post to the sales ledger. Produce monthly direct debit statements and send to customers. Create an upload file for direct debit collections. Chase overdue payments for non-direct debit customers. Carry out the necessary HR functions within the business. Book travel and accommodation for staff working away. Process staff mileage and expenses. Approve all purchase requests from team members before they are ordered. Work with the MD to report relevant data as required to aid in business direction decisions. Always observe business etiquette and confidentiality. Responsible for their own health and safety. Attend training courses, company meetings and other team events as required. Carry out such other reasonable tasks that may from time to time be allocated. Ensures that appropriate records, manual and computerised, are maintained. Maintain positive morale throughout the office.
Qualifications and experience required for this role: Relevant qualification (AAT, ACCA) or qualified by experience. Extensive knowledge of Sage 50 (or Sage 200). In depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel . Ability to manage your own workload and ask for help when needed.
