Clemenger BBDO is on the lookout for a Senior Client Account to join our Finance team in Melbourne. As a Senior Client Accountant, you will need to demonstrate and adhere to company policy and procedures and to strive for best practice in all areas of financial accounting. In doing this you will need to embrace and demonstrate the following attitudes and approaches to your work:
* Ensure efficient and accurate accounting of client billing and revenue * Be the best "go to" finance person for your allocated client base * Have the ability to prioritise financial tasks and the determination to see tasks through to the end * Adhere to tight internal controls ensuring all financial information is properly recorded and analysed * Be process Driven * Strong attention to detail and exceptional organisation skills * Proactively break down financial tasks and initiate action * An exceptional eye for detail and a proactive attitude * Exceptional team player * Ability to see the bigger picture * Work well under pressure to meet deadlines * Ability to work autonomously * Confidence and openness in dealing with management and agency staff * Exceptional people skills * Utilising Spectra to its full capability. * Be responsible for optimising and improving the way we work as we move to a paperless and more automated way of working * Able to identify systemic issues, understand the problem well, develop and communicate remediation plans to fix them
Specific responsibilities but not limited to
* Liaising with Account Management on client billings ensuring they are in line with client contractual arrangements * Review of job cost reports and invoicing clients as agreed * Ensure jobs are reconciled and closed in a timely manner * Review and approval of staff timesheets * WIP analysis * Update of client revenue forecasts * Retainer reconciliations * Monthly update of agency Client Health report * HFM upload for month end results and monthly forecasts * Working capital (monthly and weekly) * Monthly BAS return * Balance Sheet reconciliations * Adhoc client reports * Prepare adhoc financial analysis when required
* Accounting or Business degree qualification * Great communications skills both verbal and written required * Experience in Spectra - Agency Finance system * Strong Excel skills
