Job Title - Payroll Assistant/Manager (German speaking)
Contract Type: Permanent full time - Hybrid (2 days office and 3 days from home)

Salary:
£25k to £45k depending on experience
The CompanyOur client is a firm of accountants working with international businesses. They are a friendly and supportive team and offer a flexible working environment focused on training and career progression within an interesting and varied field of accounting and tax.
The RoleYou will be working in our Tax and Accounting team delivering UK payroll tax compliance and advisory services for international companies based around the world. The role has an element of dealing with international payroll issues and dealing with internationally mobile employees and experience in this field will be desirable.
You will have the opportunity to be involved in specialist tax advisory and research work. The role is varied and the right candidate will have the opportunity to progress quickly to a higher level.
• Run monthly payroll on Brightpay software• Set up starters and process leavers• Calculated holiday allowance• Deal with maternity and maternity pay• Process sick pay• Review work of junior staff• Advisory work on HR questions and payroll process• Deal with international tax matters i.e. employees working in two countries, leaving or coming to the UK etc.• Manage the tax year transition and year end filing• Experience in accounting & audit, VAT or corporation tax is also desirable
The Candidate
Our client is seeking a strong candidate with solid experience in payroll compliance and advisory matters gained within a practice environment. Accounting and Tax experience are also desirable.
The ideal candidate will have good technical knowledge, client facing skills and is able to hit the ground running.Command of the German language is desirable as many of our clients are headquartered in Germany.
