Our Banbury based client is seeking a Senior Financial Controller to join their team.
Reporting to the Managing Director with regards to all financial and accounting activities, this role will be responsible for the efforts and results of the financial department for multiple businesses within a group of companies, overseeing financial department staff in day-to-day operations.
Senior Financial Controller Job Duties Include:
* High-level financial reporting and analysis to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts. This includes providing excellent Management information.
* Working with the Master Data/Management Information department to ensure increased digitalisation of the department and overall company.
* Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports
* Supervise and manage financial department staff
* Oversee all company accounts and investments
Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing
* Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
* Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation
* Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
* Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports
* Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction efficiencies and opportunities
* Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies
* Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations
* Provide the Managing Director with timely and accurate financial information
* Assist the Managing Director in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members.
* Developing financial strategy, including risk minimisation plans and opportunity forecasting
* Improving efficiencies and reducing costs across the business, including sharing best working practices across the businesses
* Internal and external stakeholder management
* Oversee the credit control department
* Ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulations
* Payroll processing
* Working closely with management to share reports and analysis findings
Our client is seeking an experienced controller, someone who may be looking for a new challenge and the opportunity to step up to the next level. There will be responsibility for multiple sites and the opportunity to lead on the financial strategy for the company.
This is a pure office-based role located on the outskirts of Banbury where candidates will need their own transport to get to and from work. Our client is open to receiving applications from qualified, part qualified or QBE candidates, salary offered being dependant on experience
