Morgan Hunt are currently recruiting for a well established public sector organisation who require a Senior Finance Business Partner on a 6-month contract. This role will be based in Edinburgh with occasional travel to Glasgow

Role Responsibilities

• Manage the month end accounting and reporting process.
• Collaborate with the finance business partner team to deliver accurate financial reporting
• Take leadership of the production of monthly management accounts and investigate and report on significant budgetary variances
• Manage the annual and quarterly budget process
• Offer specialist advice on strategic issues to senior managers and budget holders
• Responsible for capital accounting and management of the Fixed Asset Register
• Work with the Financial Accountant to produce financial and management reports

Role Requirements

• History of managing a team
• Ability to communicate the strategic implications of complex financial issues
• Experience identifying opportunities for improving and streamlining processes
• Demonstrate a commercial, financial, and sustainable mind to ensure activities and services deliver added value.
• Membership of a CCAB professional body (or equivalent) or qualified by experience
• Strong in using finance systems
• Advanced skills in Microsoft and Word
