BOOKKEEPER
LOCATION:
Either Swindon / Trowbridge / Bath
(With some travel to other offices and clients, as required)
SALARY:
up to £25,000
JOB TYPE: Permanent Full or Part Time (60/40 Hybrid Split)
Role Purpose
To undertake bookkeeping, VAT and management accounting for clients ensuring deadlines and accounting standards are met.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Ensuring that clients receive an appropriate level of service to meet their business needs by:
Preparing management accounts monthly and quarterly ensuring details are accurate with clear and net working papers to reflect the accounts produced and ensuring clear cross refencing
Manage and undertake bookkeeping for a variety of clients inputting data and processing payments as required
Monitoring work and liaising with clients to provide information as required
Manage and complete all VAT returns for allocated clients
Composing correspondence to clients, tax office, registrar of companies and others
Visiting clients’ sites as required to carry out bookkeeping and management accounts
Conduct training for relevant accounts packages when required, both internally and to clients
Experience Required
Essential
2 years+ of bookkeeping experience
Experience preparing VAT returns
Use of Microsoft Excel & Word
Desirable
AAT qualification
Knowledge and experience of cloud accounting packages
Use of Xero / QBO
Use of Iris practice software
