CMA is working with a £400m+ fast paced and market leading Group who are based in Hampshire to recruit a Head of Operational Finance into a newly created position. Reporting into the Finance Director the The aim of the Head of Operational Finance role is to develop a “centre of excellence” in the core finance functions of the business, which covers the full span of activities from initial recording of transactions through to reporting.

What will the role involve

Management of the operational finance team of 30 indirect staff through 6 direct reports;
As part of the Finance SMT, contribute to the design and implementation of systems and processes and drive the development of a continuous improvement mindset;
Champion the Digital Transformation agenda and leverage existing and new technologies and solutions to improve efficiencies;
Full oversight of Credit Management, Accounts Payable and Treasury;
Establish credibility as a business partner, able to speak authoritatively and confidently to, and influence, senior management and directors.
Suitable Candidate:

Qualified accountant with a track record of running finance teams of 6+ in a fast moving and fluid environments. There is a preference for practice trained ACA/ACCA backgrounds, however, CIMA qualification with relevant experience will be considered;
A strong technical finance grounding within accounting and reporting combined with some examples of transformation and change management;
Ability to champion the use technology in processes and drive process improvements in all areas of finance;
