SRM Recruitment are currently working exclusively with recurring revenue IT platform serving some of the worlds leading consumer brands. A leadership hire, this role will play a crucial role in supporting the clients accelerated growth strategy.

The business has a team of over 40 people spread between London, New York and Johannesburg. Historically the business has demonstrated an ability to scale at speed with revenue growth of >100%. In addition, the businesses has also received significant investment from a leading PE house to help accelerate their growth and profitability. The objective of the role is to restructure the finance function with the goal of improving systems and processes and the quality of financial and management information, providing a platform for the future. The successful applicant will also play a key role in targeted acquisitions.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing and overseeing Board Pack and management accounts;
  • Assess current finance structure and processes, recommend and implement necessary improvements
  • Identification of core business and financial KPIs;
  • Produce annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts;
  • Cashflow and working capital management
  • Advising on Capital Expenditure
  • Responsible for VAT, Corporation Tax, and Other Tax Requirements
  • Support CEO with financial models underpinning business decisions and forecasting;
  • Assist with wider group strategic direction, e.g., acquisitions, risk management, expansion opportunities, exit etc.
  • With CEO, identify opportunities to drive revenue and profit growth.
  • Support CEO with ad hoc projects when required
  • Develop and monitor company-wide accounting policies and procedures.
  • Manage and oversee the optimisation of accountancy software (Xero)
  • Supervise Finance team
  • Management of external accountancy partners

Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required:
  • ACA / CA Qualified accountant with post-qualified experience in industry
  • Experienced and comfortable presenting and operating at Board Level and to PE Partners
  • Bright, analytical and numerate
  • Advanced MS Excel, and cashflow modelling experience
  • Strong management and people skills to lead, motivate and develop a team
  • Xero experience advantageous
  • Requirement to come into London offices 1day per week
