My client is looking to hire an Assistant Accountant to act as the sole finance person in the Washington office, reporting into the onsite General Manager and the Financial Controller based in their Manchester head office. The Assistant Accountant responsibilities include
ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
Producing monthly reports figures and statistics using Microsoft office products. Supporting the financial controller in production of the end-to-end monthly management accounts. Production of monthly accruals, prepayments, and journals in support of the month end management accounts Supporting of the month end and year end processing procedures Daily posting of the bank statements and reconciliation of banks in line with cash management procedures Liaise with third parties including banks, HMRC, auditors and other stakeholders Prepare and submit Quarterly VAT Returns Management of the Purchase, Sales and Nominal Ledgers Creation of weekly supplier payment runs through the bank Support the company's credit control team in reducing exposure to risk through good credit control practices. Responsibility for the weekly payroll submissions and creation of the payroll payments Supporting the senior management team in the development and improvement of the current ERP system Maintain own professional and personal development to ensure continued enjoyment of the role and consistent 'good practice' delivery to the businessKEY EXPERIENCE:
AAT Level 3 or 4 Competent with MS Excel 1 years' Experience in working in an Accountancy Practice or a busy Accounts function, as an Assistant Accountant / Accounts AssistantTHE ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT SALARY IS UP TO £32,000 BASE + BENEFITS
