Management Accounting role in the Manufacturing Sector, offering up to £45k per annum, hybrid working + bonus

Hays Senior Finance are Exclusively Partnered with a Manufacturing business near Glasgow as they recruit for a Management Accountant. Our client are a growing scientific organisation with a turnover of 4 million and form part of a highly successful international group. The Management Accountant will report to the UK Financial Controller and will engage with a variety of operational stakeholders.

8 years old, the company continues to evolve and transform as part of the wider expansion strategy within the Global Finance team. This role would suit an experienced accountant looking for a commercial accounting role in a vibrant industry.

Your new role
The Management Accountant is a permanent position in the structure and will work alongside a team of 7 in Finance. Working in a flat and entrepreneurial structure, our client has an established financed team with a headcount of 37 currently and future plans to grow.

The primary role for the Management accountant will be working with production on Cost Accounting and Analysis, understanding materials and inventory reporting with the delivery of monthly Management Accounts. You will collect and study data to understand cost of business activities and will play an active role working with production and provide leadership in a variety of projects.

The Management Accountant will also perform and assist with month-end financial close activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, analysis, and internal and statutory reporting.

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally be a qualified accountant or soon to be with exposure in the Manufacturing sector. You will have experience within a Cost/Inventory and reporting environment with strong excel and analysis skills. You will have good problem solving skills, and systems exposure with an all round ambitious approach to growing your career with the business. Working in a small team you will have the opportunity to offer process improvement solutions as you develop alongside exposure to new projects as the team expands.
