Description
As a payroll officer, you will be responsible for assisting in the processing of payroll for all employees and be responsible for processing all remuneration and benefits for permanent and contract staff, Long Service Leave and salary sacrificing. This role requires someone with strong work ethic as you are responsible for the payroll function and will need to be experienced to work independently and accurately.
Other key responsibilities will include the following:
- Contribute to the organisations compliance obligations through the analysis of data, trends and the advice and assistance provided to all levels of the business
- Check the Employee paperwork is complete and authorised in accordance with auditing procedures prior to entering it into the payroll system
- Assist with the production and maintenance of computerised rosters
- Process all pay enquiries in a timely manner and communicate to staff and/or managers regarding outcomes from such enquiries
Profile
To be a successful applicant, you must have:
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in a computerised payroll environment, preferably in a large, multi-site organisation
- Advanced computer skills in software applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Viso, PowerPoint)
- Experience using iChris and Kronos is highly advantageous
