Here's what you can expect from DotActiv when joining the team as a Finance Clerk:
  • You'll receive a starting monthly Cost to Company salary of between R10k and R12k, depending on your qualifications and experience.
  • You'll be working remotely and assisting internal and external customers remotely online.

As a Finance Clerk working at DotActiv, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in maintaining financial records;
  • Preparing all invoices for payment;
  • Investigating and resolving all inquiries with billing and invoicing;
  • Debtors book management and following up on collections of monies owed;
  • Maintaining customer's financial information;
  • Assisting in posting journal entries into the accounting software;
  • Assisting in preparing various financial reports for management to forecast personnel and service costs;
  • Assisting in tracking employee vacation and sick time and processing employee time into

the payroll system;
  • Assisting in managing the payroll system and processing paychecks according to the established pay cycle;
  • Assisting in preparing and maintaining the budgets for projects; and
  • Performing other financial activities as required.


Requirements
  • Any relevant Finance/ Accounting degree or diploma; and
  • A good understanding of English (You must be able to speak, read and write at a business proficiency level).


Knowledge and Computer Skills
  • Computer literate with special attention to:
  • Intermediate MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); and
  • Google G-Suite/Google Docs for business.
  • Computerized accounting programs, Xero system experience is a bonus
  • Payroll systems, SimplePay system experience is a bonus
  • Competent use of job-specific in-house systems currently used by DotActiv
  • An understanding of relevant financial legislation policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of policies and practices associated with payroll and benefits administration
