Financial Controller

Well established family run business based in West Norfolk; actively seeking an experienced accountant.


Your new company
You will be joining a well established and growing SME family run business in West Norfolk. This company have been the centre piece to the area and have grown over the years with further growth plans in place. Due to the current Financial Controller taking a career break, they now have a requirement for a Financial Controller on a 9 month FTC.

Your new role
As the Financial Controller, you will be part of the SLT working closely and reporting into the Finance Director. You will have overall responsibility of the finance function, managing a small team consisting of 1x Purchase Ledger Clerk and 1x Accounts Assistant.

You must be able to understand the company in depth, reviewing costs, creating budgets, implementing financial processes to make recommendations for improvement. On a weekly basis you will be reporting management figures to the Finance Director. On a daily basis you will process the banking, complete reconciliation, purchase ledger, cashflow management and all other financial operations.

The office hours are 8:30-17:00 or 9:00-17:30. They are also offering 2 days working from home and 3 days in the office, however if you wish to work full time in the office that is fine.

What you'll need to succeed
Even though a formal qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) is an advantage, it is not an essential requirement. Experience for this role is what the client is looking for, along with the motivation and enthusiasm to succeed. They are also looking for someone who is friendly and can work part of a close knit team.
