Your new company
Your new company is a Top 4 Accounting Firm with offices around the UK and globally. They are hiring for a Manager to join their Independence team for a 12 Month FTC due to a maternity leave. The role is able to be based out of either London or Cardiff where the biggest teams within this service line sit.
The company are super serious about hiring flexibly, and are open to various working patterns, including people who are looking to work either full or part time (3+ days per week). Further, the business are open to considering people who would be looking to return to work after 2 or more years' career break.
Your new role
In your new role, you will sit within the Firm Independence team. This function is responsible for providing business support relating to all matters around audit independence and regulatory requirements. This position is one with great opportunity for exposure as you will regularly be liaising with the most senior levels of the firm's management, including high visibility among the partners.
Given the importance of auditor independence requirements following recent regulatory changes and updates, as well as increased levels of regulatory scrutiny, and the pursuit of alternative delivery models, this role will offer exciting opportunities for the right person; such as the possibility for extension or transition to permanency within this team, or another department internally.
What you'll need to succeed
- You will need to have experience working within Compliance, Risk, Audit or Independence
- Knowledge of independence regulations would be beneficial
- Understanding of regulation and how to interpret and apply rules in a practical way
- Ability to work closely with senior Partners and other stakeholders across the firm
- Ability to live and work in the UK without the need for sponsorship
- Ability to start within 4 weeks of offer.
