Inviting applications for the role of Export Rebates - Assistant Manager - English - On Site Johannesburg

The key purpose of this role is to provide a professional and supportive claims service to the client This role will need to work with the Tax team, Exports team, Transporters/Vendors, procurement, for the successful claiming of Sugar Tax rebates. Strong stakeholder management skills and daily status updates will be pivotal for a successful candidate to undertake. Good administrative and program management skills, and attention to detail are key to this role.

Responsibilities

• 
  
• Daily Calls with stakeholders
• Daily status updates of exports claims
  
• Stakeholder management
  
• Updates to senior management on bottlenecks and process problems
  
• Value stream mapping and digital improvements with digital team (Genpact)
  
• Proof of delivery retrieval action plans
  
• Voucher of correction retrieval action plans
  
• Strategy meetings on gap closures
  
• 
  
• Daily calls with stakeholders
• Daily status updates of claims
  
• Problem solving
  
• QC of submissions to tax
  
• Management of team daily/weekly submissions
  
• Responses on queries from team
  
• Updating of tracker from realised file received from Tax team weekly
  

Besides, you will handle:

• Management of 3 Genpact permanent staff (SA based)
• Management of Peak load team (3 staff based in India)
• Management of payments to contractors for deliveries done
• Quality control on submissions to tax team
• All employee related management items
• Ensuring monthly submission targets are met
• Daily engagement sessions on targets and requirements
• Ensuring Performance on Genome
• Failure and Root cause analysis

• Experience on SAP
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
• Good numerical acumen
• Clearing and Exports knowledge across border will be beneficial
