How you can help make a better world of work

Culture Amp is currently looking for a VP - Finance who will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership, management, and operation of the organisation's Finance function. Reporting directly to the CFO, they will lead the Finance function from a financial operations and stewardship perspective and are the principal catalyst for ensuring that the right behaviours are adopted across the organisation. They will also be responsible for supporting the CFO with the strategic elements of the finance function.

You will:
  • Provide day-to-day operational leadership of the Finance team, inclusive of tax and internal audit..
  • Build and develop a high performing Finance team to achieve business goals, inclusive of the coaching and development of the team members.
  • Build a high-performance culture within the Finance team with values consistent with those of the broader organisation.
  • Maintain a direct relationship with the CFO, members of the Organisational Leadership team and key stakeholders across the Executive Team & operational leaders of the business
  • Assist the CFO is providing recommendations on business strategy and direction along with advice on associated financial implications
  • Provide oversight of the implementation of the company's risk management framework and reporting, ensuring that appropriate internal frameworks are in place and supported by relevant financial and risk management policies.
  • Ensure that the business has assistance and input from key specialist external technical advisors on matters such as ESOP, risk and tax
  • Be responsible for the preparation, review, analysis and delivery of reliable and robust financial information and analysis.
  • Oversee the development, operation and growth of the business partnering function within the business, given its early-stage nature
  • Ensure best practice financial management and stewardship is built into the business
  • Manage relationships with internal and external auditors and financial institutions ensuring that the company meets all annual financial reporting requirements
  • Working knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP accounting standards and financial reporting requirements
  • Responsible for the development, management and operation of the treasury function of the organisation.

You have
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance, post-graduate qualifications such as MBA is advantageous but not essential.
  • Membership of a recognised professional accounting body, such as CA, CIMA, CPA
  • Comprehensive technical skillset, including financial and operational management, forecasting and budgeting, planning and reporting, financial risk management (including forex management), strategic leadership, investor relations and exposure to M&A inclusive of due diligence, documentation and integration.
  • Experience in a senior finance role in an international high-growth business of scale with a degree of financial and operational complexity
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to reconcile, summarise and interpret large amounts of data.
  • Debt and equity capital raising knowledge and experience in relevant markets.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to a range of internal and external stakeholders, including investors, in all market conditions.
  • Well-developed people management skills and ability to build and lead high performing teams
  • Ability to coach and develop team members and build an appropriate and effective culture
  • Experience in Technology / SaaS organisation with knowledge and understanding of subscription revenue models
  • Experience in organisations which have completed an initial public offering on a stock/securities exchange.
