Our client in the Insurance Industry is seeking an experienced individual to join their team as a Tax Manager.
Under limited supervision responsible for computing, classifying, recording and verification of numerical data for use in maintaining accounting. Compiles and sorts documents, such as invoices and checks, substantiating business transactions. Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed and totals accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and databases. Computes and records charges, refunds and cost of lost or damaged goods, freight charges, rentals and similar items. Prepares vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports and other records and reviews for accuracy. Reconciles bank statements. Monitors loans and accounts payable and receivable to ensure that payments are up to date. Reconciles report discrepancies and problems. Codes data for input to financial data processing system according to company procedures.

- A financial related qualification; with subjects in Accounting and Tax will be an added advantage
- Minimum of three years' experience in a similar role or articles; preferably within the financial services industry;
- Knowledge and tax experience of unit trust, long term insurance and retirement fund business; specifically in a LISP environment will be an added advantage;
- Experience in management of staff;
- Knowledge of SARS reporting requirements for DWT, IWT, IT3 and INS;
- Computer Skills (MS Word, MS Excel, SAP Financials, Easyfile)
