Client Management Accountant - £30,000-£35,000 DOE - Oxford - Permanent
Your new company
This is an exciting opportunity to join the management accounting team for an established property company based in Oxford. the purpose of the role will be to take ownership of your own clients and run their management accounts and month end processes.
Your new role
As the successful candidate, your responsibilities will include:
- The production of monthly Management Accounts tailored to the clients' needs
- Variance analysis investigating differences between actual and budget
- Commentary on actuals and variances
- To maintain regular contact with the client and site staff via email, telephone and the occasional face to face meeting.
- The production of annual site budgets, in conjunction with the Site Staff and Head of Operations and re-forecasting where necessary.
- Timely remittance of funds to clients and cash flow reporting.
- Ad-hoc reporting regards to banking covenants.
- Enter banking entries onto the Customer Billing Platform and General Ledger system daily with the support of the Processing Team.
- Managing client bank accounts and reconciliations on a daily basis and investigating where differences arise.
- All client accounting journals, including calculating accruals and prepayments, are posted to the nominal ledger to enable accurate recording and reporting of revenues and costs.
- Assisting in the improvement and documentation of processes and procedures within the Client Management Accounts shared service function
What you'll need to succeed
To be the successful candidate, you will need:
- Microsoft Excel to include V Lookups, If Statements and Pivot Tables
- Excellent verbal and written communication Skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Focus on & commitment to excellence in customer service
- Ability to analyse & interpret data
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of the Accounting GL Systems
- Desire to deliver and achieve excellent standards of service
- The ability to lead & work within a team
- Positive and Enthusiastic
- The ability to stay calm under pressure
