The opportunity:
Global Talent 2020 are proudly working with our award-winning growing Hospitality client, with their continued operations expansion in the central belt of Scotland. They wish to add a diligent Management Accountant to their head office support staff. Based in Kilmarnock, this important exciting new role, will report to the Head of Finance for the business, and would require the individual to have oversight, and assist in the smooth delivery of a diverse blend of management accounting duties, before presenting the information to key decision makers within the business.
The role:
This new position will require the ideal candidate to be conversant and competent in dealing with Sage 200 and provide 100% accuracy when it came to reporting of timely, fiscal information, or statistical data. You will assist in the smooth running of the finance departments small growing team, in concert with the Head of Finance.
In this role you will also report to, and have regular interactions with the board of Directors, other Heads of department and External Auditors. So, you must feel comfortable in presenting data, communicating, forecasting information at these levels weekly, monthly, and quarterly.
Ideally, you must also be happy in being empowered to be entrusted in dealing with fixed asset management, banking reconciliations, cash flow management, quarterly VAT returns, year -end audits, and annual budget compiling.
Global Talents 2020 client also would like the ideal candidate to also support with cost saving efficiencies across the business, ensuring the business is adhering to internal financial controls across the portfolio of venues, whilst also supporting the Head of Finance as required on other projects to serve the business overall interests.
The person:
Our client is looking ideally for proven experience within a similar business at Management Accountant level, or for an Assistant Management Accountant looking to advance their career. You must ideally also have experience of running a small department and be able to illustrate excellent interpersonal soft skills to all levels within a business operation.
Global Talent 2020’s client desires for accountant qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ICAS) credentials or matching in-job experience qualification. Strong current use of Sage 200, Microsoft Excel Accountancy software is also highly desired, with proven analytical detail assessment and attention to details.
You must be a people person, as well as numbers driven, be very well organised and be used to working to tight deadlines on occasion.
