Available immediately? A temporary position is immediately available for a Bookkeeper to Trial Balance in the Sandton area.
The successful candidate will have completed matric and have 3 to 5 years of experience in a Bookkeeping to Trail Balance role. The incumbent will be required to provide up to date and accurate financial data, ensure compliance, and compile accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, daily entries, and reconciliations.

Qualifications:

• Diploma / Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Admin
• Proven track record of working within a Bookkeeping role
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting payable/ receivable principles
• Ability to multitask
• Above average proficiency in MS Office: MS Word, Excel
• Strong communication skill set
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Duties:

• Accurate record keeping of day-to-day financial transactions and follow through on posting process
• Verification of transactions and of data relating to supplier's ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger
• Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up to date manner
• Bank reconciliation
• Ability to bring the books to Trial balance stage
• Enter data, maintain records, and create reports and financial statements
• Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner
• Conduct reconciliation of all accounts
• Prepare financial reports through collection, analysis, and summarization of data
• Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards
