Job Details

Permanent, Finance Business Partner role based in Newbury. You will be part of a team that produces the Management Accounts for a range of different clients across many different sites. It will be essential to have had the experience of taking full control of a P&L previously, regardless of the size.

Client Details

The business has seen a significant growth in revenue over the covid period and as a result they are looking to add to the team.

They are based just off the centre of Newbury and offer fully Hybrid working from their large and open plan offices.

You would be working within a relatively flat team structure but with ample opportunity to move into other areas to develop and progress your career.

The company is also easily accessible via public transport and has parking on site too.


The key responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner will be to:

  • Preparation of management accounts on a monthly basis following a strict timetable in
  • Support the Finance Managers and heads of department look to standardize then improve tasks
  • Maintain general ledger accuracy
  • Maintain reconciliation schedules for all assigned balance sheet accounts and resolve any unreconciled items within set time period.
  • Perform various account analyses, identify and post any required adjusting journal entries.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packages.
  • Familiarity with internal controls and/or SOX compliance and ensuring all internal controls are followed to achieve a successful audit.
  • Streamline and improve back office and finance processes on a continual basis.
  • Assist with external & internal audits to ensure all aspects of compliance and control are met.
  • Assist with statutory accounts production with responsibility for accurate and timely filings.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes including anti-bribery policy.
  • Proactively work to support other members of the Finance team and participate or lead on any adhoc projects.


The ideal candidate for the Newbury based Finance Business Partner role will be someone who has experience of producing a full set of Management Accounts and is comfortable in working within a busy and commercial environment.

Ideally suited to someone studying towards ACCA or CIMA, the company will offer you support towards your qualification and a career path internally too.
