How you'll make an impact

You will be positioned at the core of their business operations, fostering a business partnering approach to provide detailed financial insight and support commercial decision making in order to drive financial performance. This is a broad role that requires tenacity and confidence to comfortably switch between reporting and commercial partnering quickly.

Your responsibilities will be for both the management / commercial reporting for their business area, including the month end cycle, P&L analysis including variance to plan and business partnering with the operational teams ensuring key financial and non-financial drivers are understood.
  • Ownership of period end close ensuring the timely and accurate production of management accounts, balance sheet control reconciliations and supporting schedules in line with group timetable and policy.
  • Interrogation and understanding of the ERP system to ensure consistency and robustness of results.
  • Production of Presidents packs for review with Senior Finance Manager, including deep dive P&L analysis and key working capital drivers.
  • Maintaining rolling weekly cash forecast - providing detailed written and verbal commentary.
  • Prepare and develop new KPIs to help the business understand and improve performance (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly).
  • Production of annual budgets and ongoing provision of latest forecasts with supporting R&O schedule.
  • Business partnering with multi-site operational delivery and support teams, providing ad-hoc financial analysis and project support, ensuring informed reporting of risks and opportunities.
  • Commercial modelling to support strategic business growth initiatives, capital purchases, investments and contract renewals.
  • Supporting as required with year end statutory audit activity.
  • Lead on finance projects and deputise for Senior Finance Manager as and when required.
