Summary of role:

We are looking for a dynamic, motivated, and hard-working Group Financial Accountant. The role will report directly into the Group Finance Controller and will play a key role in establishing strong financial accounting controls and processes across the group. The Group Financial Accountant will be responsible for the group consolidation, undertaking some of the more complex aspects of the technical financial accounting in the business. The role will also be responsible for identifying financial accounting process improvements in NetSuite and supporting the regional finance teams with accounting advice. This role will also be responsible for overseeing Group Tax and Treasury.

Anthesis is a fast paced and growing business, and this role is an exciting opportunity for someone to grow with the business. As controls are not yet fully established across the group, it will require a proactive self-starter who has the ability and desire to drive positive change. The role will also require someone who is happy and comfortable rolling up their sleeves and being in the detail.

Key

responsibilities:

  • Lead on migrating the monthly group consolidation to Oracle NetSuite
  • Working closely with the NetSuite team to support and optimize other financial accounting processes in the group such as improving our intercompany set up and reconciliation process
  • Develop strong relationships with the global finance team and support them in maintaining strong controls and accurate financial reporting
  • Create and publish accounting policies for the group ensuring compliance with internal and International Financial Reporting Standards
  • Supporting in the annual budget process and quarterly forecasts
  • Assist with external audit
  • Working with external advisers to ensure we are compliant with Transfer Pricing legislation
  • Support integration of new acquisitions into our financial reporting processes
  • Completion of statutory accounts and tax returns


Key requirements:
  • Qualified accountant with 5 + years of relevant working experience in a technical accounting role
  • Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards
  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word) is essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive self-starter with first class organizational ability, who is detail oriented, and results focused, and able to oversee and support the financial administration of several projects at once
  • Proactive and a committed team player
  • Can work under pressure and with minimal supervision
  • Can work on flexible hours to support global teams in many time zones, meet changing work environment and to meet tight deadlines
