Accounts Receivable Process Analyst

Full time, permanent

Based in Manchester (Hybrid)

Role purpose:

The purpose of this role is to support the Accounts ReceivableManager to engage with teams across Premier Business Services (PBS) and wider to optimise AR processes, deliver AR related projects and provide operational support to the AR teams on a small number of processes. The aim is to improve the AR processes and ways of working to enhance the delivery of AR to stakeholders. Provide a professional and co-operative end to end service to both our internal and external customers in line with Premier Foods values and promote best practice in customer service. Work collaboratively with other teams in PBS and the wider business to achieve targets.

What you'll be doing:

Operational Responsibilities
  • Support all key project and improvement activities to ensue delivery of activities on time and to a good quality
  • Collect or produce data and undertake analysis to support project and improvement activities
  • Develop and maintain (until operational handover) control and performance reports
  • Provide data and commentary for project / improvement packs as required
  • Participate in project and improvement reviews with internal stakeholders
  • Lead elements of projects and improvements as required, e.g. user acceptance testing
  • Build and maintain good relationships with the AR team, wider PBS teams and internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide cover for the AR Manager Process in their absence
  • Ad-hoc tasks as identified by line manager from time to time

Customer Service
  • Strong focus on customer service, providing an agreed level of service on projects and improvement activities
  • Be the first point of contact for agreed elements of projects or improvements
  • Be a subject matter expert for specific areas of projects or improvement
  • Knowledge of customer service practice and principles
  • Knowledge share across wider PBS team

Process Improvement
  • Pro-actively contribute to improvements to systems, procedures and practices within the department to ensure efficient and effective business operations, and support with implementation once changes are approved
  • Support implementation of new processes to ensure the business maximises financial returns and minimises risk
  • Involvement with small scale projects; user acceptance testing, creation of procedural documentation

Control & Compliance
  • Operate within the business controls framework, following relevant process documents such as the Credit Policy and Risk and Control Framework
  • Engage business areas to improve data quality and suggest process improvements
  • Ensure all process documentation for new or improved processes is up to date
  • Assist with audit queries both internal and external audit

What we need from you:

Essential:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven experience working within a credit control and/or query resolution role
  • Passion for driving continuous improvement
  • Performance driven and keen to exceed expectations
  • Proven customer service experience
  • Excellent data analysis skills
  • Display curiosity and passion to drive improvement to processes and deliver projects
  • Intermediate Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Vlookups)
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver your targets and understand end to end processes
  • Excellent attention to detail, the ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Problem solving skills (error detection, root cause analysis, error correction)

Desirable:
  • System knowledge of SAP
  • Experience of working in a Shared Service Centre
  • Project Management experience
