Assistant Manager - Finance
This is an IC role, and the position will be based out of our Bangalore, India office.
Broad Overview:
Support the EPS Global Financial Planning and Analysis function and assist in managing some needs of the local Indian operations
Global FP&A support
- Monthly review and analysis of results
- Budgeting and Forecasting Process
- Analysis around revenue recognition, recuring revenues, deferred revenue and unbilled
- Customer profitability
- Other ad hoc analysis as required.
Local support needs
- Support local India management team
- Local Statutory Reporting and Compliance Secretarial Compliances
Key
Responsibilities:
- Assist the India management with the data required by them and support them through a data driven decision making process
- Investigate and prepare and/or review variance analyses for the balance sheet and income statement for relevant areas as directed by the US FP&A team
- Experience developing and managing budgets and forecast with excellent financial, contract management, and purchasing skills
- Analyze revenue recognition to ensure we are recognizing revenue as forecasted and provide variance analysis
- Provide year over year fluctuation analysis of changes in recurring revenues
- Analyze deferred revenue to ensure the revenue is rolling into actual on an anticipated schedule.
- Ensure timely processing of local payroll with our global payroll provider as directed by Human Resources
- Liaison with Govt authorities in India and all other APAC regions to ensure statutory and secretarial compliances at the direction of the US Director of Tax and Treasury
- Manage designated direct and indirect tax filings and compliance matters. Ensure accurate and timely tax filing and payment, in compliance with local country regulations at the direction of the US Director of Tax and Treasury
- Experience with agreement management, including compliance with the terms and conditions, documenting, and agreeing on any changes or amendments that may arise during implementation or execution.
- Assist with tax provision calculations (Local and USGAAP, as appropriate).
- Collaborate with third party tax advisors and business stakeholders to support overall goals and objectives at the direction of the US accounting operation
Technical Skills:
- Experience in accounting with complex legal entity structure with foreign subsidiaries.
- Experience with US GAAP and specifically with ASC 606 revenue recognition rules in a software business.
- Strong knowledge of direct and indirect tax laws and companies act
- Knowledge with ERP/Accounting software proficiency
Non-Technical Skills:
- A minimum of Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or similar any other similar discipline.
- Overall experience of 10+ years, out of which 6 years or more in tax reporting and compliance. Preferably in software / IT companies.
- Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills required
- The ability to work independently and exercise initiative.
- Understand the financial Impact while processing the expense/allowance/Invoice requests
- Ability to work in a virtual multi-cultural team and to build strong working relationships with a diverse range of co-workers and other individuals.
- Be agile and work well in a dynamic environment
- Proven ability to implement continuous process improvements
