Manufacturing Accountant
Permanent - Full time
Swansea
£25-30,000 depending on experience

This role represents a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accounts assistant; part Qualified CIMA/ACCA, QBE or AAT; I'd particularly love to hear from you if your experience is manufacturing based!

Supporting the Financial Controller, your typical duties will include assisting with preparation of monthly management accounts. Previous experience of cost accounting will be very helpful in this role. You will need to have an in-depth grasp of financial accounting processes, as you will be assisting with statutory and management accounts and providing cover in the absence of the Financial Controller and other team members.
The main duties are:

• Monitoring accruals and prepayments to prepare accurate Management Accounts
• Monthly reconciliation of the Balance sheet accounts
• Fixed Asset control. Develop existing FAR and reporting
• Daily reporting receipts, overdue, business pulse and dashboards
• Sales performance reports for Accounts Receivable and Gross Margin analysis
• Monthly reporting of VAT and European VAT
• Management of the accounts receivable function to include:
• Management of SL
• Analysis and report of customer payment trends
• Site lead to ensure timely collection of receipts
• Liaising with Customer service team to reconcile customer account
• Reconcile Credit note request portal and monitor bad debt
• Other reporting for duties i.e ONS, Insurance preparation etc
• Product Costing calculation and reviews.
• Budgeting and forecasting by cost elements
• Prepare and work alongside Auditors to prepare year end statutory results
• Providing cover for Purchase ledger and payroll activity when required
• Project work; specifically ERP
