SRM are partnered with a business near to Biggleswade who are recruiting for an ambitious AAT or CIMA Studier to join their friendly finance team due to internal progression.
You will be supporting the Finance Manager and Finance Director in providing a comprehensive commercial finance support service to the company and ensure all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
Accountabilities
Assisting with month end to include but not limited to Accruals and prepayments - journal creation, allocation and reconciliations
Review P&L for coding errors, timing anomalies, comparison to budget and adjusting as required
Liaising with Logistics Team re Transport and Parcel costs to ensure accurate recording
Balance sheet reconciliations including clear down AP/AR suspense accounts
Leased cars costs verified and approved
Revaluations of debtors and creditors ledger
Calculation of sales commissions and rebates
Sage maintenance including set up of new GL codes and Period End closes
Maintain fixed asset register including creation of new assets and depreciation calculations
Assist with process improvement projects within Finance
Preparing Board pack reports for Capital Expenditure
Monthly Returns - VAT, Intrastat/EC Sales
Process of Staff expenses from receipt to entry on the purchase ledger, processing BACS payment for purchase ledger
Account analysis for query resolution, annual audit, budgeting, R&D returns.
This role is well suited to someone who is AAT qualified with relevant experience, perhaps someone who has just started their CIMA/ACCA studies and are looking for an opportunity to progress in finance.
The company will offer 3days in the office and 2 days from home.
