An award winning international and UK based construction company based just outside of Bedford are offering a permanent office based opportunity taking responsibility of payroll and sub-contractor payments. The ideal candidate will have excellent experience with CIS (construction industry scheme) and will have prior experience in a payroll position.

CIS Payments Clerk / Payroll clerk Position Overview

• Assist with the recruitment process of sub-contractors by identifying candidates, performing reference checks.
• Verification of sub-contractors with HMRC or relevant local authority
• Maintain schedule of sub-contractors invoices due for payment and issue copy invoices to Quantity Surveyors on relevant sites
• Advise Payroll Business Manager in relation to updates on holiday pay (calculating bank holidays and the overtime worked).
• Ensure correct documentation and approvals are received in a timely manner from Quantity Surveyors so that payments can be processed accordingly
• Updating new sub-contractor international starters on the fingerprint system to log workers hours.
