What's the role?

Are you a driven and high performing , experienced Account Manager based in Port Elizabeth who thrives within a fast-paced environment ? If so ,we need you to join us and take ownership of market share for Hilti for all activities in the assigned segment of Industry and Construction to further develop profitable sales. This is no ordinary sales job - ours is a uniquely high performing and supportive working culture. This is a "bench-role" which exists for the purpose of talent pipelining to address our future hiring needs.

What does the role involve?

One of the key deliverables in this role; take ownership in the assigned territory to develop sales by utilizing all elements of our sales process to effectively analyze, implement, and control the opportunities within the territory to achieve the assigned targets for defined territory or market segment.

Being an effective stakeholder manager will ensure that you build fruitful working relationships with all levels - partners, contractors, system integrators & end users, and actively manage and develop the growth of key products within the sales territory by targeting the appropriate customer groups and ensure successful introduction of new products. You will ensure the appropriate level of coverage is given to both buying and potential customers within the customer platform, to develop profitable growth.

Having thorough understanding of the market and its key players , being aware of what the competitor landscape looks like ,market price levels, new launches, seminars, new outlets, quality issues, product deliveries and opportunities in the market is essential. You will actively and effectively demonstrate, service, train, and (where appropriate) test Hilti products to best sell our value proposition.

What yoiu need is:
  • Further education at tertiary level is preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years technical sales experience
  • Experience in the Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical/Civil Engineering or Construction industry (preferred)
  • Microsoft Office Skills
  • Excellent English Skills (Written and Spoken)
  • Excellent Afrikaans Skills (Written and Spoken)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Commitment, courage, and competitive drive
  • A willingness to learn and challenge yourself
  • Strong technical skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • High level of motivation, very strong customer focus and a continuous improvement mentality required
  • Business acumen and excellent knowledge of the job market and network across the sector
