The Role

As a Corporate Retirement Coordinator, you will play a pro-active part in delivering a high standard of service to our customers through maximising income and right outcomes to those committed to completing the retirement journey through our Corporate Retirement service.

This position follows the paper-based journey of our customers, involving a combination of administration and telephony to guide our customers in getting their pension funds from the current scheme to their new provider.

You will
  • Ensure product knowledge remains appropriate to ensure the customer maintains a strong level of understanding of our service, its scope and any products that are bought on a non-advised basis or recommended through our advised service.
  • Ensure customer scripts are followed even when customers suggest the detail is not required likewise recognising when customers are vulnerable or do not understand detail and therefore require additional explanation or repetition.
  • Contribute to the team delivery of operational sales utilisation plan by achieving the KPIs set
  • Ensure all customer Service Level Agreements for pre-application activities are met and customers' expectations are managed timely and effectively.
  • Take ownership of specific customer/partner/provider issues or queries to ensure a timely and appropriate resolution.
  • Create, record and update promptly all customer data ensuring it remains accurate and compliant.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with sales and administrative staff within the wider business, external providers and ceding schemes

You are
  • Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) and have 5 passes at Grade C or above - including Maths & English.
  • Willing to continue professional development to support your current role or recognised career path through the career progression framework.
  • Results orientated and able to work under pressure to achieve objectives within agreed timescales, without compromising the quality of service provided.
  • Extremely organised, with the ability to make intelligent decisions when faced with competing priorities and fluctuating workloads.
  • Flexible, with the ability to collaborate and work as part of a team in a fast-moving environment.
  • Able to recognise issues and apply technical knowledge, contributing to creating practical and effective solutions
  • Excellent at both verbal and written communication, with great interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Experienced in providing excellent customer service, both over the phone and in a post-sale or administrative environment.
  • Experienced within the financial services industry - preferably within a life and pensions environment, ideally with experience of communicating directly with customers.
