Divisional Accountant, Belfast

Reed Finance is providing support to our hugely successful commercial client in the appointment of a fully qualified Divisional Accountant.

This is a critical role within our client’s finance function and its primary focus is to take responsibility for the production and presentation of Divisional monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.

Key responsibilities include:

• Take responsibility for the preparation of management accounts associated with the Contracting Division
• To liaise with senior manager and directors in respect of accounts preparation, presentation, and advocate improvement opportunities
• Lead and develop a small accounts team
• Be part of and contribute to the Senior Accounts Team within the group
• To prepare associated budgets and forecasts
• To contribute to alignment and system integration of accounts processes within Ireland / UK
• To identify, advocate, and implement procedural and process business improvement opportunities
• To analyse costs and trends and identify efficiency opportunities

Criteria:

• Minimum 5 Years’ post qualified experience
• ACA, CIMA, or ACCA qualified
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Confidence to use initiative, to problem solve and prepare concise and relevant reports.
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop a team
• Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
• Previous construction or manufacturing industry experience is advantageous
• Capable of visiting other business locations in NI & RoI
