An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic finance professional to join PSPS as a Finance Analyst.
We are currently in the process of moving offices, your temporary workplace will be Manby until the move in January 2023 to Horncastle
The successful candidate will support the Treasury & Investment Manager, and three local authorities’ in delivering their Income Management function, as well as managing their short-term assets and liabilities ensuring that they have the optimum amount of working capital to support day to day services as well a number of investment portfolios.
The successful candidate will also support the service in delivering the Purchasing Card function. In addition, you will support the provision of treasury and investment advice and written reports to other finance professionals, non-finance professionals and council members.
What we need from you:
* Strong background in financial management
* Hold relevant financial qualifications e.g. AAT or be actively studying towards a recognised qualification
* Ability to organise and prioritise often conflicting demands to meet deadlines
* Excellent IT and analytical skills with a good understanding of accounting principles
* Ability to organise and prioritise
* Strong Work ethic with the desire to learn and develop
* Clear and effective communication
* Confident in decision making
Experience of a Local Government Finance is desirable but not essential
