What You'll Do:

The Assistant Operations Controller uses a high level of expertise to support the company's consolidated cash position through the management of the Accounts Payable staff, cash management procedures, and reporting. This position will formulate improved processes, procedures, and internal controls as it relates to accounts payable and cash management.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Operations Controller include:
  • Participate in Period End close for the Company's Operating entities.
  • Support the Operations Controller and Director of Accounting.
  • Ownership of the Company's consolidate cash position, including management of the cash process and related controls.
  • Manage the Accounts Payable staff to ensure work is completed accurately, timely, and in accordance with Company procedures.
  • Actively evaluate the Accounts Payable process and present opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage the Accounts Payable Period-End close process.
  • Manage Vendor onboarding and management process and related controls.
  • Assist in the formulation of internal controls and related compliance with those controls in day-to-day work.
  • Assist with preparing for the annual audit, as well as other audits that may arise in the ordinary course of business.
  • Special projects and project management as assigned.


You'll also need the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
  • 6 or more years of experience in accounting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organization skills.
  • Strong people management skills including recruiting, development, and performance management.
  • Process-oriented with the ability to scale said processes for a high-growth environment.
  • Self-accountable, ambitious, and passionate about creating change.
