Assistant Accountant

Hamilton Woods Associates are working with an award-winning manufacturing business based in Loughborough who are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join them on a 6 month contract basis.

The Assistant Accountant Role:

• Prepare and manage the fixed asset register monthly.
• Review and process payment runs
• Prepare monthly management accounts
• Submission of VAT returns
• Supervise team of Accounts Assistants
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
• Support with monthly cost centre reviews and annual overhead budget preparation
• Drive department efficiency and review processes

The Requirements:

• High standards of accuracy
• Previous experience supervising / supporting a team
• Ideally looking to start of have started ACCA studies
• Strong all-round knowledge of finance and accounts processes
• Adaptable and approachable with a positive outlook
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work to tight deadlines

In return this Assistant Accountant role is offering a salary of £26'000 - £28'000 depending on experience and will be working Monday-Friday 9-5 with flexibility for earlier start and finish times. This role is a 6-month contract and will require a start as soon as possible.
