My client is a SME owner managed business within the Logistics industry, ideally located in North West Leicestershire (near Jct. 22 of M1) and therefore easily commutable from across the East Midlands.
Working closely with the Managing Director, this is a general all-round Accounts position of which includes a percentage of Accounting including Payroll 25% and 75% of the role will be to report to our Transport Director to cover, of position for the business, taking full responsibility for all aspects of accounting and assisting in the general running of a busy office.
• Be trained (or already trained) to use SAGE Payroll - this is to cover our current Management Accountant’s annual leave, process of circa 60 staff on weekly payroll. • The candidate will be given other roles to support our Management Account as our business continues to develop, but on the job training would be given to support this.• The candidate will only report to the Accountant for maximum of 25% of their workload......the remaining 75% of the role will be to report to our Transport Director to cover:• Processing of driver folders and scanning all relevant paperwork (currently 40 driving staff)• Manage and prepare holiday requests for management approval• Reporting of sickness/absences of driving staff• Ordering and issuing of driver uniform• Recording driver accidents/near misses• Responsible for accurate record keeping for tyres purchased and disposed of, via a comprehensive log and weekly stock take• Ordering of parts for the Workshop and monitoring "best price" practices • Assist with the upkeep of our FORS accreditation
