NXTGEN are delighted to be working with a UK leading manufacturer based north of Norwich, who are looking to add an experienced Accounts Assistant to their finance team. As Accounts Assistant you will be working as part of a close-knit finance team, reporting directly to the Head of Finance. As an Accounts Assistant you will be taking the lead on all things AP and will need to be able to show the ability to work well under pressure as this is a busy environment. Previous experience in an accounts assistant role will be highly beneficial, along with experience in accounts payable focused roles. Please see below the various accounting duties that will be required. It is important to note that over time, the role will evolve and you'll have the opportunity to support the management accountant in the preparation of management accounts, VAT returns and other month end duties. Our client is well aware of the importance of a good work/life balance and are willing to offer hybrid working up to 2 days a week for the right candidate, as well as a really good benefits package.

Processing purchase invoices
Reconciling supplier statements
Payments to suppliers
Posting banking transactions
Bank reconciliations
Various ad-hoc accounting duties when requiredThe ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a similar accounts assistant/accounts payable role. You will be a confident user of IT systems such as Excel, which is an absolute must. Having excellent communication skills will stand out, as you will be working closely with the Head of Finance and other departments within the business.
