The Role:

To provide comprehensive support to the Trading Director and the wider Commercial and Finance teams in all aspects of business activities and to assist the Director of Commercial Finance and Head of Commercial perform their duties.

  • Work closely with the Finance Business Partners, you should be the main point of contact on all aspects of Trade SMR performance from a segment and divisional perspective
  • Create customer profitability reporting, to include customer rebates, to provide the company with the ability to make appropriate business decisions
  • Customer modelling on sales and margin performance including product liaison, pricing, full analysis of profit breakdown together with the implications of any changes. This will include the presentation of proposals to stakeholders
  • Support understanding of divisional performance across all segments and products
  • Production of monthly reporting packs together with commentary and recommendations of improvement together with forecast effect of such actions
  • Attend and support monthly trading meetings and support on weekly Divisional Manager/channel calls
  • Advise on customer information within the company including segmentation and categorisations
  • Support the evolution of the reporting strategy & data management
  • Manage the Central Reporting team with a view to support the business on all key strategic initiatives and regular promotional activities
  • Streamline the process for requesting new reports

Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in a commercial finance environment
  • Excellent knowledge of all Microsoft Office software
  • Highly analytical, with excellent attention to detail
  • Resilient and hard-working team player
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good at juggling simultaneous, sometimes conflicting workloads
