Robert Half have exciting opportunity for an experienced people leader who is passionate about customer experience to join a large Financial Services organisation as their Head of Financial Support Services.

The successful candidate will be a key member of the Financial Support leadership team and will help shape strategy, take ownership of the end-to-end customer experience, and show a real passion for developing colleagues to have empathetic, meaningful and effective conversations with customers facing financial difficulty.

There will be a requirement to travel to the Gloucester office on a weekly basis, however, can work flexibly between home and office.

Expertise & Experience
  • Expertise to support senior executives and other departments across the organisation to understand the pre arears, collections and recoveries environment enabling them to make key decisions.
  • An in depth understanding on collections and recoveries
  • Excellent understanding of legal, regulatory and industry requirements.
  • Strong track record of managing key strategic 3rd party suppliers.
  • Proven record in remote workforce leadership and team motivation.
  • Proven ability to manage risk effectively and implement appropriate and commercial mitigating strategies.
  • Excellent strategic and operational business orientation.
  • Effective financial controller experience of revenue, costs and investment budgets.

Responsibilities & Outcomes
  • Lead the implementation and operationalisation of pre-arrears customer treatment strategy.
  • Lead the operational execution of the collection and recoveries strategy for all retail customers.
  • Be a role model and bring to life every day, the Leadership Expectations to improve performance, execution, and engagement.
  • Lead and motivate a diverse and high performing team, developing colleagues through stretching objectives, feedback & coaching.
  • Manage risk, whilst striving to make the business a simpler and easier place to work, in a safe way.
  • Embrace and deepen stakeholder relationships and lead with proactive engagement.
  • Lead relationships with 3rd party suppliers who are critical to our continued success.
