Position: Full Time / Permanent



Salary:
£65,000 -£70,000 DOE +Benefits

Autograph Recruitment continue to work with leading regional firm of Chartered Accountants, based in South West England, assisting them in the search for a VAT Senior Manager to join their growing team. This fantastic opportunity will give you the chance to utilise plus develop your skills within VAT/Indirect Tax within a versatile and professional Practice.

Our client is looking for a VAT Senior Manager to join our team.



Responsibilities:


Business development;

In developing the VAT business, you will be tasked with identifying commercial opportunities and growing the client base;

Supporting clients with a range of VAT enquires;

Portfolio management;

Supporting less experienced team members;

Prepare technical updates to be circulated to all staff;

Build relationships with the Associate Partners, with the purpose of leveraging VAT advisory work and identifying cross-selling opportunities;

Complete timesheets accurately and in a timely manner;

Act as the right hand person to VAT partner, making sure you are available and ready to push delegated work to completion;

Manage and nurture the VAT team, provide practical advice to and develop the junior team members;

Act as central figure of VAT team, ensuring delivery of the team’s work so it is completed within a specific timeframe;

Delegate appropriate work to more junior team members;

Advise clients on VAT requirements at the appropriate level based on experience, knowledge and competency;

Aim to achieve a utilisation of 80% chargeable, when possible;

Ensure risk to wrong advice has been managed and, where appropriate, evidenced.

Requirements:

Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills;

Commercial awareness;

Good analytical skills and judgement;

Good written communication and letter writing skills.
