Interaction Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working with a reputable and well established client in their search for a Senior Group Accountant to join their team on an initial 6 month fixed term contract based near Cambridge, Cambridgeshire.
Due to a number of changes within the team, this role is required to start as soon as possible.
Duties will be varied, but will include:
Supporting with the production of Group IFRS financial statements, annual report and subsidiary FRS 101 annual financial statements Assist with supporting the annual audit process, including preparation/review of current and deferred tax accounting and tax disclosures Providing all necessary information as required Corporation Tax compliance for all international Group companies and branches Preparing supporting calculations, reviewing and preparing tax computations Carrying out group consolidations Liaise with third party accounting firms to ensure deadlines are met for compliance for overseas subsidiaries Prepare and submit UK Group VAT returns, reconciling VAT accounts Take the lead on Transfer pricing considerations Supporting in improvement of processes Other adhoc duties to support the team Applications are welcomed from candidates with the following skills and experience:
Fully qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA) with experience of working within a larger, corporate accounts environment Able to manage and prioritise own workload Must be able to work with minimal supervision IT Literate - Microsoft Excel and knowledge of an ERP system would be essential Strong communication skills are essential The successful candidate must be able to commit to the full length of the contract This is a hybrid role with 2 days in the office and 3 days from home, although during the period of the audit, you will be required to be in the office for more than 2 days.
