Chief Financial Officer – Grimsby – £75,000 - £85,000 & package including a 4-day working week

Chase & Holland are excited to be partnering with a leading and innovating manufacturing business based in the outskirts of Grimsby, to recruit a hands-on Chief Financial Officer due to growth and internal promotion. This is an exceptional opportunity to join the Senior Leadership Team, leading the Finance Department and contribute to business strategy.

This role is an integral part of the senior leadership team of the business and includes responsibility for compliance with accounting standards and strict adherence to other relevant financial regulations. You will oversee all the financial & IT operations, all financial reporting for Group and the wider leadership team at site. You will also be the main point of contact for all external stakeholders including the banks and auditors.

Contribute to financial and business strategies
Oversee all financial operations including all payroll functions
Oversee the preparation, submit and present monthly management accounts using standard cost principles
Prepare and submit statutory accounts – ensuring compliance with FRS 102 along with corporation tax submissions
Oversee preparation and submission of VAT returns of the company and Group of companies
Management of currency hedging
Management of capital expenditure requests
Prepare annual financial budgets
Responsibility for managing an IT team to provide effective of IT solutions and infrastructure
Oversee and be responsible for the ERP application including all data configurations, data flows and reports relevant to the finance department
Ensure compliance with company and Group financial and accounting policies
Assist other UK Group companies where relevant with financial advice or guidanceRequired Skills & Experience:

Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ICAEW)
Strong experience within a similar senior role
Continuous improvement mentality and ability to drive change, working with the wider business
Manufacturing experience would be beneficial but not essential
Knowledge of using standard costing would be advantageous
Experience of using ERP systems
A thorough understanding of financial accounts and good communication skills are essential
