A well-known, property management organisation is on the search for a Company Accountant to join their ever-growing business; based in our client's head office in Watford. As the company accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial books and any financial related matters for the organisation.
Key
Responsibilities:
Direct line management of the Accounts Assistant, ensuring their tasks are set and completed, whilst also developing their career
Responsible for the accounting systems and procedures and ensuring they are operating correctly to enable reliable information can be provided for; forecasting, profit and loss, balance sheet and cashflow statements
Processing, maintenance, and recording of all daybooks and ledgers
Make certain the accounts team follow Accounting Standards, the UK's taxation authorities and other regulatory bodies or legislation, and assisting with external regulatory audits
Preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting
Managing account balances, reconciliations, and coordinating payments
Responsibility for HMRC reporting You will ideally have up to 3 years of experience working within an accountancy / financial environment and hold a qualification such as AAT, ACCA, CIMA, ACA. In addition, you will have ideally worked within the property management sector, however this is not essential, and we are happy to speak with accountants who have worked for a professional accounting practice
