Assistant Management Accountant


Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 09:00 - 17:00 - 37.5 hours per week

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Main Responsibilities

This role is ideal for a suitably experienced assistant management accountant. Good accounting knowledge, exceptional attention to detail and the ability to deal with a heavy workload are essential skills to be successful within this position.

You will be responsible for:

Inter-company reconciliation
Month end cost allocations
Credit Card Expense Postings
National Statistic Submissions
Responsibility for an area of corporate management accounts
Cover for the Finance Business Partner in their absence
Responsibility for the reconciliation of balance sheet codes
Monthly consolidation reporting & review of divisional submissions
Maintaining Group mapping across various systems
Support with budgeting and forecasting
Technical accounting research
Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders including those overseas
Completing ad-hoc tasks as required by the corporate finance function
Agreeing inter-company balances with other group entities and working with the divisions during the month to ensure both side have all details required to post costs passed across
Correctly allocate costs between corporate departments and group divisions based on back up data from consolidated invoices
Assist with the implementation and monthly processing of the corporate directors credit card statements, including taking responsibility for the up keep of the agreed new platform
Monthly, Quarterly, Bi-Annual and Annual returns of information requested by the Office for National Statistics within the timelines set by the Government.
Monthly management accounts preparation and distribution to the relevant corporate head of department. This will start with one of the smaller divisions and develop as the successful candidate grows in to the role
Ownership of a number of corporate balance sheet codes, ensuring they are reconciled on a monthly basis, ensuring all discrepancies or potential issues are highlighted to the Finance Business Partner

The Ideal Candidate

Experience within a busy finance team
Experience in a finance department is desirable
Working towards a finance qualification
Exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills with high attention to detail
Confident communicator, with the ability to articulate a high level of oral and written English
Intermediate Excel capabilities
Independent thinker, keen problem solver with a `can do` attitude
You must live in the UK
