A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Financial Analyst to join a highly reputable business based in High Wycombe. This role is highly commercial in nature and offers excellent exposure to senior stakeholders across the business. Responsibilities:


Develop and maintain revenue tools for quick, accurate decision making
Understand the underlying causes of low profitability and instigate action to resolve / improve
Analyse market trends including both macroeconomic factors affecting the industry and local competition levels
Build an understanding of the normal demand patterns and of exceptional events, adapting strategy to these to maximise profit
Build new financial models where needed for profit and loss analysis
Build and develop improved KPI reporting packages
Prepare and distribute analysis and insight to management in a timely manner
Assist in coordination of Budget and Forecast roll ups and loads
Help prepare business presentations to management
Support the FP&A Manager with ad hoc requests
Assisting with regular monthly and weekly reporting
Performing regular and adhoc analysis of key data elements to ensure consistency and integrity of reporting
Supporting the provision of all commercial data and analysis
Assisting with preparing presentations for Senior Management
Reporting and analysis on key KPIsRequirements:

Degree qualified (Maths-, statistical- or business-related)
Qualified finance analyst (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) preferred, or near qualified as a minimum
At least 12 months experience in similar a finance analyst role
Proven track record in retail/consumer/FMCG
Experience in a dynamic company environment
Demonstratable experience of complex problem solving in an analytical role
Statistical modelling experience
Experience in operational and financial evaluation
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including expert level in Excel, critical
Experience of database management software, such as SQL, essential
Experience of analytical tools, such as Power BI or Tableau, essential
Strong financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting experience an advantage
