Selden Masts, the World's leading yacht and dinghy mast maker are looking for a full time Financial Controller to join our office team based in Fareham.
The financial controller manages day-to-day operations of the finance department, Which falls within the business support services. the financial controller manages the administration of the finance policies, procedures & programmes. they will carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: Financial support systems (Navision), Training and development of direct reports, production of monthly management accounts, cashflow management, forecasting & reports required by external bodies.
Responsibilities
* Monthly preparation of management accounts within strict deadlines and submit to parent company.
* Manages daily cashflow for three currencies, manage foreign exchange accounts.
* Complete VAT and year-end payroll return.
* Work with materials manager on annual stock control complying with audit requirements.
* Oversee annual audit.
* Prepare and maintain annual forecast/ budget.
* Respond within time constraints to information requests required by law, i.e. national statistics/ VAT etc.
MUST HAVE:
* A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance, or a business with supplemental course work in finance/ related field.
* AAT Level 4 with ambition to continue studies to ACCA/CIMA
* Company will support further studies to reach chartered.
