This is a chance for a technically strong, Financial Accountant to join a large Wholesale business on a 3-6 month FTC basis to support the transition of a new team following a financial restructure.
Role
responsibilities:
Support the Financial Controller to ensure that financial information (P&L focused) is prepared and delivered on a timely and consistent basis during this period of change
Local team leadership of the finance team during the transition phase of the outgoing team
Ensuring all areas of responsibilities get transferred to the new team
Coordinate with the business for any day to day matters ensuring BAU carries on during this time frame
Day to day financial and management accounting, reporting system, general ledger and bookkeeping maintenance, adherence to financial policies and procedures and compliance with statutory regulations
Review systems, processes, and controls in the corporate stores functions and to document, recommend and implement changes from start to finish, incorporating the full end to end process
Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and to ensure any un-reconciled items are being dealt with and actioned appropriatelyYou will be:
ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
Experience working in large organisations
Team player with proactive positive attitude
Excellent communication skills
Able to use initiative and question the detail whilst managing multiple tasks
Ability to make judgements on need for consultation and escalation
Competent with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
A working knowledge of VAT rules
