Location/Remote: Slough - Hybrid working (2 days in the office)

Contract Length: 6 month initial contract (Potential to be extended)

Pay Rate: £420 per day PAYE / £555 per day Umbrella

Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services is currently recruiting for a Commercial FP&A Manager on behalf of a leading Telecommunications organisation initially on a 6 months contract with potential to be extended.

The role will be reporting into the Head of Consumer FP& within the Consumer Mobile Commercial Finance Team. This team is responsible for managing financial planning and performing financial analysis of the Consumer Profit and Loss account. This includes, but is not limited to: budgeting, forecasting, the three-year plan, management reporting, performance analysis and providing commercial insight to the Director of Consumer Mobile Finance.

This is a pivotal role within the Consumer Mobile FP&A team. Working very closely with the rest of the FP&A team and with direct and highly visible contact to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), Wider Leadership Team (WLT) and their Direct Reports (DRs), you will become the trusted, go-to financial professional for colleagues across the Consumer Finance team in relation to the annual Mobile Subscription Revenue, helping to drive sound and appropriate business decisions through analysis of these revenue streams, monthly reporting and forecasting and objective challenge. Your key attribute will be to form, maintain and develop strong and effective working relationships across the Consumer Finance team, Commercial Finance as well as with Central FP&A and other central financial teams.



Responsibilities:


Understand the focus for revenue growth across its consumer business lines and be proactive in supporting the Commercial team to deliver this.

Work with the various teams within the wider Commercial Finance team to establish detailed budgets and forecasts for each area with a clear understanding of the trends and challenges and incorporate these elements into the models.

Supported by the Consumer FP&A Manager, compile presentation slides for the SLT and WLT to communicate key trends, whilst raising potential risks and opportunities to drive key business decisions.

R&Os: compile, segment and submit month-end R&Os for all revenue areas.

Month end: review accounting models and ensure the actuals are in line with expectations; Support the presentation of the WD4 pack. Prepare relevant sections of the WD8 pack and present to the wider Commercial Finance team, explaining all relevant variances and key insights, risks and opportunities.

Advising the Commercial team on key trends with analysis to enable them to facilitate decision making to mitigate challenges.

Ensure the impact of IFRS15 on revenue recognition is adequately accounted for, communicated and explained across all relevant stakeholders.

Ownership of planning for MBB, PayG and Insurance.

Leadership of 1-2 (tbc) direct reports

Responding to ad-hoc revenue-related queries from the SLT or WLT.

Key Skills/Experience

A Fully Qualified Accountant with experience and understanding of revenue accounting principles

A personable individual with a ‘can-do’ attitude and the gravitas to ensure your messages land with senior managers and their teams with the appropriate challenge and influence

Ability to develop strong working relationships within finance

Attention to detail with strong analytical skills and experience of working within a FP&A function in the telecommunications industry or another commercial organisation

Strong analytical mind set and proficiency with MS Excel

Self-motivated with minimal need for direction or supervision and the ability to prioritise workload.

Familiarity with SAP BPC, Darwin and ThinkCell (Desirable)

Good presentation and communication skills – particularly MS PowerPoint (Desirable)

An understanding of IFRS15 (Desirable)

Management experience (Desirable)
